What does the Suzuki Method mean to you?
For me, the Suzuki Method is a calling. The continuous work with children and supporting their holistic development as human beings over a longer period of time, the close contact with families, and the shared musical journey with all its highs and lows, the organization of events and workshops, the fruitful exchange with dedicated colleagues, and the discovery of new paths—these are the most important aspects that shape and enrich my life as a Suzuki teacher.
What does it mean for you to have music in your life?
Music is an essential component of life. It prevents our soul from withering; it speaks a universal language, uplifts, and comforts.
I have the privilege of practicing music as a profession. For me, music is all-encompassing, yet at the same time highly nuanced!
Why do you want to teach music to children?
Having music in one’s life is a form of quality of life. Above all, I want children to grow up loving and getting to know music through the violin and the people involved—and for these people to become lifelong friends.
Through active music-making, we can support a child on many different levels. No other activity connects the emotional and the physical in such a powerful way.
All children should be able to benefit from this!
