Howard Griffiths

Howard Griffiths is an internationally active British-Swiss conductor with a global reputation. He has worked with renowned orchestras, soloists, and composers, while also being deeply committed to supporting young artists and educational projects.

Born in England, he studied at the Royal College of Music in London and has lived in Switzerland since 1981. From 1996 to 2006, he served as Chief Conductor of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, and from then until 2018 as General Music Director of the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt.

His career is characterized by international tours, award-winning recordings, and innovative approaches to music education. As a guest conductor, he leads leading orchestras around the world and collaborates with numerous distinguished soloists.
